We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Van Driver to join our clients Environmental Services team located in Petersfield
This is a varied and active role where you’ll be out and about across the local area, helping to keep streets, public spaces and communities clean, safe and well maintained.
Your day-to-day work will include driving a company van to different locations, collecting fly-tipped waste and unwanted materials
What you'll be doing
- Driving a company van to collection locations.
- Removing fly-tipped waste and unwanted items.
- 📦 Loading and securing materials safely in the vehicle.
- 🔍 Carrying out daily vehicle checks.
- 📝 Completing collection records and paperwork.
- 🤝 Representing the company professionally when dealing with members of the public.
- ⚠️ Following all health, safety and environmental procedures.
We're looking for someone who is:
- A confident and responsible driver.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Physically fit and happy with manual handling.
- Able to work independently and use their initiative.
- Professional and polite when representing the company.
- Comfortable working with waste and animal remains.
Previous experience in waste collection, environmental services, street cleansing, removals or similar work would be an advantage.
Hours - 7am to 3pm - Monday to Friday
Pay - £12.71 per hour
