Amour Recruitment is seeking an experienced Transport Administrator to work for a family run company in Portsmouth.
You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of their pallet network’s and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties include:
- Provide an efficient, responsive and professional service when handling all incoming and outgoing calls with customers, depots and drivers.
- Deal with queries and issues by email and telephone, quickly and thoroughly
- Book jobs onto bespoke IT systems
- Coordinate deliveries and collections using the routing system and directly with drivers
Personal requirements:
- Experience in similar role / environment within a transport distribution company is a must
- Must be fully computer literate
- Administrative experience essential
- Own means of transport
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Hours: Monday to Friday 10am- 6.30pm Monday to Friday with the flexibility to cover holidays for the other shifts that work 6am – 14.30pm and 8am to 16.30pm. Saturday rota to check on deliveries from home, 1 in 4 (normally a few hours).
