Amour Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for a Sewing Machinist for our client based in Farlington, Portsmouth.
In this exciting role, you'll support a busy production operation, through specialist sewing operations.
You'll need to be able to read specialist drawings and patterns, whilst working to strict deadlines.
This is a part-time position, and the team have flexibility for working anywhere between 20-30 hours per week, based on your availability.
Responsibilities:
- Operating industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently.
- Measuring, cutting, and preparing materials as required.
- Following patterns, templates, and production specifications.
- Conducting quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Sewing Machinist, ideally within furniture, upholstery, or soft furnishings manufacturing.
- Experience using industrial sewing machinery.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- The ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Hours: 20 to 30 hours per week, Flexible between 8:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday
Pay: £13 to £15 per hour, based on experience
