As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a vital role in the efficient and organized operation of a warehouse or distribution center. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing goods while ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols. This role involves handling various tasks such as picking and packing orders, inventory management, and maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Order Processing: Receive incoming shipments, check their contents for accuracy, and process them into the warehouse inventory system. Prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring correct items and quantities are picked and packed.
Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and update the system accordingly.
Packing and Shipping: Pack products securely for safe transportation, label packages with relevant shipping information, and arrange shipments for delivery carriers.
Material Handling: Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move goods within the warehouse. Ensure proper handling and storage of products to prevent damage and maintain safety.
Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or damages during the packing and receiving processes. Report any issues to supervisors and follow appropriate procedures for quality control.
Health and Safety: Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations at all times to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment. Participate in safety training and contribute to a culture of safety awareness.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other warehouse operatives and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and timely fulfillment of orders.
