Amour Recruitment is seeking an Operations Administrator to join our client’s business outside Fareham.
If you have a background in transport or freight forwarding and you want to work in a busy international environment, this could be the ideal role for you!
Key Tasks:
- Communicate with customers to ensure their quotations and traffic requirements are fulfilled in line with their booking instructions.
- Ensure legislative compliance in all areas.
- Arrange with approved hauler’s for transport of cargo, confirm availability of equipment and agree prices.
- Prepare correct documentation to the Warehouse/Haulage/Distribution/ Shipping department for loading/off loading cargo to vehicles, in a timely manner.
- General Administration, e.g. invoicing; filing; queries; claims etc.
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent IT skills
- Previous experience of a similar role in the freight forwarding industry desirable
- Good communication skills
- Team Player
Hours: Monday to Friday 0800-1700
Salary: up to £27,000 (depending on experience)
