Amour Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for a Marine Field Service Engineer to join our client based in Totton.
In this role, based on the road, you'll support a busy engineering team, supporting the diagnosing, repair and installation or Engines, Turbochargers and Turbines on ships.
You'll need to be open-minded and flexible to work with this team, as the role can cover all hours of the day, often spending days at a time, sometimes even a week, out of the area on projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who has worked locally in manufacturing or servicing, who is looking to expand their earning potential, with fantastic opportunities for travel.
Responsibilities:
- Serving and repair of Engines, Turbochargers and Turbines.
- Ensuring best case scenario for client on all jobs.
- Minimise downtime for clients, ensuring works completed in adequate time.
- Supporting works within the company's workshop, to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Preparation and execution of reports, and work orders.
Requirements:
- Experience working on Engines, Turbochargers and Turbines (min 2 years).
- Experience working across modern marine technologies.
- Ability to work independently.
- Valid UK passport, as travel will regularly be required.
- Ability to work away from home for extended periods of time.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
Hours: 8:00-16:30 Monday to Friday
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 Basic, depending on experience. PLUS - high level of overtime availability, due to nature of business
