Amour Recruitment are proud to be working alongside a fantastic client based in Havant who are seeking a Design Engineer to join their team. As a Design Engineer you will be managing multiple projects and delivering high quality work to tight deadlines and schedules whilst ensuring the meet the requirements of the customer.
This role would suit someone with previous experience as a Design Engineer who has good mechanical knowledge and comes from a background in engines, exhaust systems and has used Solidworks/AutoCAD.
Responsibilities:
- Producing and completing mechanical designs and engineering drawings
- Using design software packages including SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Delivering designs on time and adhering to deadlines
- Collaborating with other departments within the business including Project Managers, Electrical Engineers and Project Engineers
- Modifying and adapting designs to meet customer requirements
- Preparing reports and all relevant paperwork
- Working in line with budgets and identifying potential profit opportunities
Personal Requirements:
- A HND/HNC/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar would be advantageous
- Previous experience working in a Mechanical Design role, preferably in a product development environment
- Able to provide a portfolio with examples of previous work
- Efficient using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
