Amour Recruitment are currently recruiting for a warehouse supervisor for our for client based in Portsmouth!

The role of a warehouse supervisor is to ensure smooth running of all warehouse functions, maintaining standards and meeting company objectives, in an efficient

and professional manner, to ensure our client meets its customers’ expectations.  To ensure colleagues are ably supported and trained to carry out their

respective duties.  To create an inclusive work environment, where all team members feel equally valued and respected. 

Key responsibilities:

  1. Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
  2. Maintain a safe working environment at all times and ensure health and safety practices are adhered to.  Being proactive in highlighting where Health & Safety can be improved
  3. Ensure relevant team members are trained in the correct use of equipment / machinery
  4. Ensure all hygiene practices are maintained throughout the working day
  5. Maintain company GMP
  6. Maintain a food safe working environment
  7. Ensure all allergen controls are maintained
  8. Maintain quality standards by following company procedures
  9. Liaise with other Team Leaders / Supervisors / Managers on a daily basis to plan how the day is to be achieved
  10. Mentor and train Warehouse Assistants and Warehouse Operatives to enable them to effectively carry out their roles
  11. Designate work for junior members of the team
  12. Ensure allergen controls are maintained
  13. Ensure stock control and traceability is maintained at all times
  14. Take a leading role in quality control
  15. Liaise with the management team to minimise team issues and resolve any conflict

Key Tasks:

  1. All duties as per Warehouse Assistant and Warehouse Operative
  2. Ensuring product is stored, picked and out-loaded correctly
  3. Ensuring temperature records are maintained at all times
  4. Ensuring all finished goods and packaging materials are stored in the correct manner
  5. Ensuring stock control of finished goods is maintained at all times
  6. Ensuring stock control of packaging materials is maintained at all times
  7. Creating picking lists, load sheets and delivery notes, using computerised system
  8.  Accurate picking and palletising of goods, ready for despatch
  9.  Maintaining quality standards by following company procedures
  10.  Following computer systems to ensure traceability is maintained on goods in and out
  11.  Ensuring daily & weekly paperwork is completed correctly
  12. Liaising with hauliers, to ensure goods are collected on time to meet customer’s expectations
  13. Managing waste removal to keep site tidy
  14. Supervising any junior staff working on site, to ensure adherence to company policies
  15. Ensuring sites and work areas are clean and tidy at all times
