Amour Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Warehouse and Transport Supervisor on behalf of our client Meachers!
Meachers are a growing logistics company and are now on the look out for an experienced supervisor who is looking to grow and develop their career in the logistics industry.
Key responsibilities
- To oversee both the warehouse and transport operations
- Manage a diverse team across the warehouse and transport functions
- Daily contact via telephone and email with key clients
- Maintaining a clean and tidy environment
- Other duties include covering for colleagues in the warehouse & transport office
Skills and experience
- Previous supervisory experience, across warehouse and transport functions
- WMS/Carrier management experience or alternative business host systems
- Excellent customer services – must be able to build relationships internally and externally quickly
- Able to multi task
- Good IT skills
- Good health and safety awareness
- Forklift license (combi or counterbalance is preferable)
Personal Qualities
- Outgoing and friendly
- Flexible in working hours and duties
- Ability to work on your own and within a small close team
- ‘Can do’ attitude
- Ability to think quickly and make decisions and problem solve
- Full training will be given
Full time Monday to Friday, flexible hours to cover all areas of the operation, and deputise for the Depot Manager
