Amour Recruitment are delighted to be working with an innovative, reputable manufacturer based in the Neath area who are looking to add to their senior leadership team. This client are well established as a market leader having been operating for over 35 years and are now looking for an experienced, strategy-focused individual to join them as a Sales Manager.

The successful candidate will be managing multiple teams including technical sales and business development whilst working alongside other senior managers to drive the company forward.

 

The Role:

  • Creating a clear and realistic sales strategy taking into account the company product range and current market conditions
  • Working with other internal departments to ensure successful implementation and achievement of the new sales strategy
  • Identify product gaps in the market and new opportunities to develop and present to the senior management team
  • Have a good understanding of the businesses’ products or services and to be able to inform others.
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to delegate to achieve the department goals is fundamental, with an emphasis on training, empowerment, morale and motivation.
  • Motivate the team to performs and strive proactively to achieve company goals in multiple sectors to ensure the pipeline of work and penetration into the market continually grows.
  • Forecast sales targets and ensure they are SMART and achievable for all concerned.
  • Awareness of competitors and strategy to increase market share
  • Confidence to educate the market as a representative of a market-leading company
  • Lead by example - demonstrating best practice in sales, negotiating and sealing a deal.
  • Work with Marketing team to reach and convert sectors and individuals and their companies.
  • Help in creation of content and the plan in association with the overall strategy and the ability to support the roll out.
  • Reporting, use of digital tools and databases, to produce board level reports and effective ways to communicate to all levels through digital and hard copy.
  • Potential to expand into international markets
  • Oversee the Estimating department as part of the sales function, liaising and discussing with the Team Leader.
  • Create a vibrant, positive and collaborative Sales department with great communication and showing growth in multiple areas.
  • Seek ways of continuously improving the way the business operates.
  • Ensure all data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM.
  • Maintain relationships with current clients and identify new prospects.
  • Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 'People Person' - Experience of recruiting, managing and developing successful teams
  • Highly competent, experienced sales professional with a 'lead by example' attitude
  • Experience of creating and implementing effective sales strategies
  • Experience of compiling information and presenting to board level stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Confident and experienced in the use of all MS Office packages, inc Excel & PowerPoint

The salary offered for this position starts at £45,000 with an annual company bonus (10-15% of annual salary) also available.

Hours of work are 0900-1730 Mon-Fri with car parking available on site. There is also 20 days holiday on offer plus bank holidays.
