We are delighted to be supporting a local manufacturing company, who supply their product throughout the UK and into Europe, as they look to expand their Production team based at their facility in Abercarn.

We are currently seeking to recruit a Production Supervisor to assist with the leadership of a key part of their manufacturing and distribution facility, helping to drive and supporting the team to create a continuous improvement environment.

This is a "hands on" role, ensuring quality standard are met, and will involve organising and supporting the team within the specific area of responsibility and deputising in the absence of the Assistant Manager whilst ensuring and promoting adherence to HSE standards.



  • Lead and coordinate the team to ensure operational procedures and standards established are adhered to.
  • Planning, analysis and coordination of job changes in their area, coordinating with other production teams to ensure that all quality and production targets are met.
  • Planning and organising overtime when necessary.
  • Identify training needs within the team and provide the necessary support.
  • Ensure housekeeping standards are adhered to in line with company requirements.
  • Organise and supervise routine or occasional audits
  • Create an appropriate working environment, as well as managing team discipline. Supporting and carrying out the company disciplinary process in line with company guidance.
  • Ensure new operators are taken through the induction process.
  • Be accountable for self-development, asking for internal or external support if needed following the established procedures.
  • Ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately, on time and in full
  • Adhere to established procedures when liaising with other departments (Purchasing, supply chain, planning, etc.)
  • Supervise people within the work area ensuring that all tasks are completed in accordance with HSE and hygiene policies, operational procedures and regulations.
  • Ensure you understand and follow all rules outlined within the company handbook, and outlined within your contract of employment letter
  • Carry out any other work duties as requested by your team leader or management



  • At least 1 year previous supervisory experience from within a manufacturing/production environment
  • An understanding of angles / compound angles
  • Ability to work to deadlines while producing work of a high standard and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Able to use various machines/ hand tools and measuring tape
  • Good timekeeping
  • Understanding of quality and the need for high standards at all times
  • Able to commit to overtime as and when required


This positions pay up to £12 per hour (£23,400 per annum) depending on experience and will suit someone looking for long term, stable work with a company with ambitious growth plans in the near future!
