Amour Recruitment are working exclusively for this amazing company who is seeking a positive, proactive individual to join them in the HR team as a Pre-employment screening co-ordinator.

This is a brand-new role, of which you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding required service level standards for background screening for permanent, temporary and contract staff.

This includes a variety of different security checks, which are needed to meet our client’s requirements.

You will be using different portals such as The Security Watchdog, Verifile and StaffVetting, co-ordinating the end-to-end background screening process.


  • To co-ordinate and lead on the pre-employment screening checks for all candidates, ensuring that these are completed in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with all candidates to collate all outstanding documents and upload to third party providers systems.
  • Ensuring all candidates are screened in line with client policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring all candidates are screened in line with government legislation.
  • Ensuring personal information and PES results are kept confidential in line with GDPR and to only be shared with HR/ Recruitment / hiring Manager when and if required.
  • Effectively communicating with all stakeholders regularly to ensure all parties are informed of progress throughout the screening process.
  • Ensuring PES tracers are updated regularly to reflect screening of employees.
  • Maintain a vetting work in Progress report providing all details on the status of all vetting files.
  • Effectively communicating with all third parties throughout the screening process to ensure responses are received within the agreed timeframes.
  • Liaising with the hiring Manager regarding exceptions and any potential delays to start dates, to enable them to update the client accordingly.
  • Ensuring compliance by working to a timely manner and working to deadlines.
  • Support candidates through applications by telephone and email.
  • Identify discrepancies or missing information.
  • Highlight any adverse findings to the relevant department (HR/Recruitment/Hiring Manager).

To be successful you would have worked within a fast-paced environment, demonstrating good organisational & administrative skills and attention to detail and have experience in PES screening for a Medium sized business working to tight deadlines.

This role is working remotely but you must be prepared to travel to London (waterloo) for HR team meetings if and when required. Hours are 0900-1730 Monday to Friday.
