Our client that specialises in Property Holdings are one of the fastest-growing property portfolios on the south coast. They are now looking to expand their in house maintenance team who ensure the properties are maintained to the highest standards. The property maintenance team is integral to the success of the business and requires good organisation, communication and timekeeping skills. The role requires the Maintenance Technician to use their own initiative to overcome the day to day issues that arise within the portfolio ensuring they look for the most cost-effective method of dealing with day to day problems as they occur.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Perform repairs to rental property as needed during occupancy of units.
  • Perform cleaning and repairs to property in-between tenants ie. Getting the properties ready in time for them to be re-let in good condition.
  • Perform house/unit renovations & upgrades as directed and required.
  • Liaising with tenants to gain access for repairs.
  • Perform routine and scheduled maintenance of properties including painting, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
  • Cleaning internal/external properties.
  • Garden maintenance.
  • Respond to emergency calls after hours, on a pro-rata basis.
  • Be able to prioritise work to complete assignments in a timely manner
  • Perform routine inspections of the property to check for maintenance problems.
  • Complete daily work order system.
  • Keep track of expenditure and receipts for items purchased for jobs.
  • Work using your own initiative and as part of an existing team when required.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • General maintenance experience including electrics / plumbing / carpentry etc
  • A good "all-rounder" and "multi Skilled" experience and expertise is required
  • Hold a full, clean UK driving license
  • Good organisation, communication, and timekeeping skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work well under pressure
  • High standards with good attention to detail
  • Must live within a reasonable distance of Fareham.
