Amour Recruitment are working with one of Wales leading training providers.  We have an opportunity for a Leaner Coach to join their team and work with their centres in Pontypridd and Bridgend

Salary £18,000 - £23,000

Monday to Friday

Duties and Responsibilities:
 

  • Responsible for the Pastoral Care of all Learners
  • Managing  & Conducting the Interview process for all new Trainees
  • Reviewing all relevant paperwork for any additional learning needs, for example childcare, 1-2-1 counselling provision and notify the relevant departments, making sure all aspects are recorded within the learner file.
  • Induction including, meeting and greeting all learners, completing relevant documentation, delivering the structured induction session and making sure all learners have a clear understanding of the Traineeship provision and future goals.
  • Identification of personal support needs being point of contact for all safeguarding issues
  • Coordinating  learner reviews and owning the learners SMART action plan, working in partnership with all your colleague in centre to discuss & document the learners progression – for example working with the tutor to review their latest essential skills progress
  • Support the seamless transition to placement and keep in contact with the Placement Coordinator on progression being made at placement to enable you to update the learner action plan & review the ILP has been updated correctly to reflect the placement progression.
  • Manage of all learner  progressions  - Externally or working in partnership with the Job Growth Wales & Apprenticeship teams to source and discuss opportunities including: notifying sales team of learners who are expected to progress within 6 weeks, discussing all the progression options with the learner including finding sustainable employment opportunities if that is the goal of the learner.
  • Support learners to gain a full understanding when opportunities become available - such as a job opportunity via Jobs Growth Wales - Job Description, Interview Criteria, Location of Interview, Interview hints and tips – Getting the learner Interview Ready.
  • Taking responsibility for the centres Exited Learners by following the exit process checklist, evidencing and updating the required paperwork. This is for all exits including negative.
  • Taking responsibility for coordinating and managing the destination evidence requirements and updating the required paperwork
  • Making sure that ALL learners have completed IDRIS.
  • Actively takes part in the Monthly Caseload Review session of all Learners with Business Manager and Colleagues.
  • Accountable  for coordinating the monthly learner forums
  • Responsible for learners who fail to attend the centre by following the traineeship checklist for reengagement

Essential skills and qualifications

  • Experience of working with vulnerable Learners.
  • Learning Coach L4 Qualification or working towards
  • IAG Qualification level 3 as a minimum or working towards
  • Experience of working with young people
