Amour Recruitment are working with a fantastic insurance business based in Newport.  

We have a fixed term contract available for 8 months due to secondment for an IT Administrator.

Salary £20,000 - £22,000 

Monday to Friday 9.00 - 5.30pm

The role:-

As part of this highly skilled team, this role is responsible for importing and exporting client data files, printing and mailing customer letters and providing 1st line technical support to users in a Windows server and desktop environment.  

This is a key role within the team and demands a technically astute person with excellent customer facing skills.

Accountabilities

  • Monitor the IT service desk and manage tickets accordingly
  • Provide technical support for user requests
  • User management in Active Directory
  • Mailbox management in MS Exchange
  • Telephony configuration
  • MS Windows & Office issues
  • Inhouse application support
  • Desk moves, starters and leavers

Letter production

  • Print and send customer letters with the appropriate inserts
  • Ensure that SLA breaches are kept to a minimum by ensuring letters are despatched on time, and resolving issues with Royal Mail.
  • Manage mailroom supplies

Projects

  • configure new clients in test and production environments
  • support testing phase of client implementations

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience working in a first line technical support role
  • Previous experience of managing user accounts and groups in MS Active Directory
  • Previous experience of managing user requests in a ticketing system, prioritising and escalating as required
  • Good knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Desirable

  • Experience working in the Insurance sector
  • A good working knowledge of MS Windows server environments
  • Ability to write and execute queries in a MS SQL Server environment
