Amour Recruitment are recruiting for an Essential Skills Tutor to join one of Wales leading training providers.
 
Salary from 20,000 - £23,000 - South Wales based
 
The role:
 
To train and assess learner knowledge and competence against criteria defined by the relevant awarding body in respect of Essential Skills Wales in Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy.
 
 
To arrange, conduct and invigilate controlled tasks with learners undertaking their Essential Skills Qualification
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for providing literacy, numeracy and digital literacy support within workshops or one to one settings with learners to support their timely achievement of Essential Skills qualifications, Framework and to ensure they achieve their full potential.
  • Responsible for registering, arranging, conducting and invigilating controlled tasks with learners undertaking their Essential Skills Qualification in line with award body requirements
  • Responsible for carrying out all organisational and administrative work, preparation and marking associated with teaching and assessment responsibilities and standardisation
  • Accountable for supporting and fully engaging learners and employers in the qualification
  • Responsible for maintaining quality standards as defined by internal and external quality assurers
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate, up to date records of all assessment activities
  • Accountable for ensuring positive outcomes are evidenced.
  • Monitor and ensure the timely completion and accuracy of all learner documentation required to reflect a true and accurate record of the learning route and progress.
  • Deliver training programmes to assigned learners/clients ensuring the highest possible standards are achieved.
  • Covering a regional area, travelling to visit learners in workplace to undertake assessments
  • Responsible for contributing to the planning, monitoring and achievement of agreed performance targets.
  • Develop learning materials to support the delivery requirements.
  • Liaise with other team members in the development and delivery of qualifications
  • Maintain good working relationships with learners and employers.
  • Complying with and working within the companies lone working policy
  • Complying with the companies policies and procedures in relation to safe driving and complying with legislation
  • Complying with the companies mileage claim procedure

Assessor Qualification Award
Experience of Work Based Learning and Award Body practices
Assessor experience  
Full driving licence with use of own vehicle
