This is no ordinary Customer Account Manager position... You will be representing a company recognised as a true innovator in their industry and will contribute to the outstanding service they already provide to their key accounts, as well as liaising with other internal teams to ensure the customer is not disappointed and that orders are placed correctly with the correct specifications to enable a timely manufacture and delivery process to the customers’ satisfaction.

The main responsibilities of the Customer Account Manager will include the following:

  • Liaising with the Business Development Managers and clients in a professional manner to resolve queries relating to: - retail prices, product options, lead-times, order status enquiries, and order amendments
  • Processing orders accurately and liaising with the planning department to agree production slots and lead times
  • Processing all Export documentation to a high standard of specification to ensure no issues with transporting products overseas.
  • Working with the Product team and raising the relevant orders for fabric testing
  • Reviewing and processing all order amendment requests, and assessing implications to the order delivery life cycle
  • Ensuring key stakeholders are made aware of changes in a timely manner
  • Arranging deliveries with clients
  • Keeping the relevant Sales personnel updated with any significant client issues
  • Arranging the shipping of orders as required including obtaining shipping quotes
  • Working with the Sales personnel to ensure orders are processed in a timely manner and no errors are made
  • Providing admin support to the team related to export documentation


For this Customer Account Manager position, we are ideally looking for the following skills & experience:

  • Knowledge of export documentation and processes
  • Previous experience in export
  • Ability to demonstrate experience of delivering a solutions-based service to customers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Good organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written, coupled with an excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good level of literacy and numeracy (GCSE Grades C or above)
  • A good level of PC literacy including competency with MS Word, Outlook, Excel
