This is no ordinary CAD Technician position... You will be representing a company recognised as a true innovator in their industry and will contribute to the outstanding service they already provide to their key UK accounts, as well as liaising with other internal teams to ensure the customer is not disappointed and that orders are placed correctly with the correct specifications to enable a timely manufacture and delivery process to the customers’ satisfaction.

The main responsibilities of the CAD Technician will include the following:

  • To produce accurate detailed technical drawings to enable the manufacture of standard products as & when required
  • To maintain the library of drawings for all standard products and ensure it remains up to date and accurate
  • To keep up to date with any change requests and ensure appropriate internal departments are notified accordingly to ensure customer requirements are met
  • To liaise with all Business Development Managers to prepare detailed technical drawings and renders to support their standard and special product sales activities
  • To prepare product sales information to assist BDMs in cleaning up special product orders to avoid possible delays
  • To support the BDMs in preparing product information for inclusion in tender processes
  • To maintain and share when required the case study library


For this CAD Technician position, we are ideally looking for the following skills & experience:

  • Experience of working with 3D CAD software to produce technical drawings for products
  • Previous experience of working within a similar customer based role in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience of working in a business to business environment
  • Ability to interrogate engineering drawings
  • Exceptional organisation and administrative skills


The successful candidate for this position will work 38 hours per week - Monday to Friday - with a starting salary of £24,287.78.
