Amour Recruitment are working with a leading Training Provider in their search for dynamic sales individuals to promote and offer Higher Level Apprenticeships to businesses in England.
 
Role Title: Business Development Consultant
Location: Cardiff 
Benefits: 25 days holiday plus all bank holidays.
Office Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:45am – 4:45pm, Friday 8:45am – 3:30pm
Salary: £21k Basic (+ Commission if targets achieved - OTE £35K)
 
Role Purpose:
This office based role requires an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic Business Developer to drive and expand our penetration in the Management training marketplace. You will need to be an experienced, driven and motivated business developer, with good attention to detail and a tenacious approach. You must be able to provide a consultative approach, asking open questions, listening, probing and spotting the need and opportunity. You must be confident in you product knowledge and capability and be prepared to ask the question.
 
Within your role, you will be working within a variety of industry sectors and you must be able to react quickly to the differing needs within those sectors. You must understand the full portfolio of products and be able to cross sell when the opportunity presents.
 
You will primarily be working on the Government’s flag ship training program; Higher Apprenticeships. Your primary target will be to identify clients who are suitable for the “Higher Apprenticeship Level 5 in Management”. You will explain the course content, demonstrate the value of the course and book suitable managers onto the program. Where opportunity presents, you will also sell other program and recruitment services to the client.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver agreed KPIs by maximising all sales opportunities
  • Achieve and exceed targets set by the Business Development Director
  • Understand key product knowledge and concepts
  • Provide accurate KPI information on a daily basis
  • Maintain and develop the CRM database to maximise sales potential and opportunities
  • Regularly liaise with the Head Of Sales to ensure that the objectives, expectations and priorities of the team are met
  • Frequently inform and present to the team on market activities and developments
 
Skills and experience required:
  • Demonstrable track record of new business generation within B2B
  • Preferably closed business with HR, Training, Managers, Directors or Proprietors
  • Tenacity and Persistence
  • Self learning and development skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated team player with the drive to sell, achieve and exceed set targets
  • Able to remain focused under pressure and meet challenging goals and deadlines
  • Open to feedback and keen to take ownership of actions and personal development
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Knowledge of CRM or Client Databases
