Amour Recruitment are delighted to once again be working with a leading client within the Insurance market to offer this fantastic (and rare!) opportunity to join their Broker Support team. As a Broker Support Agent, you will assist their Business Development Mangers who are regularly on the road visiting customers, attending events and forging strong relationships with key stakeholders.

The salary for this role is £20,000 with company bonuses available.

You will be comfortable with a blended home/office based approach to working with a 3/2 split most likely, but you will need flexibility to be office based for training.

 

The Role:

To promote the companies’ proposition to their target market by making regular contact with existing and potential broker customers and be confident at initiating conversation, building rapport and maintaining relationships. The role will involve a high volume of outbound calls to an established broker base, but also offer support to brokers with inbound queries.

  • Pro-actively manage a panel of brokers working closely with my regional Business Development Manager (BDM)
  • Support the growth of that panel by increasing activity within that region
  • Complete outbound priority calls i.e. post calls, Network lists, Pipeline calls
  • Deal with any commission or rewards queries
  • Deal with any general queries relating to how the business works with brokers and policy holders
  • Prospect for new accounts within all regions
  • Take responsibility for outbound campaign management
  • Provide cover within the team as required

 

About You:

  • Excellent knowledge of the General Insurance (GI) market
  • Experience of managing relationships with brokers
  • Proven knowledge of Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulation, market trends and mortgage distribution
  • Knowledge and understanding of distributor business models, technology and commercial drivers
  • Skills as an influencer
  • An understanding of issues and opportunities facing the industry
